Gardening
As soon as we moved out here to Bedford and, for the first time, had yard and room for growing, I felt the need to put in a garden. It helped that it was April at the time. That first effort was a small thing, only three feet by eight if I recall, but we've expanded it every year since then and now have some considerable area under cultivation.
Of course, we've not yet had a year where the farming lives up to our hopes and expectations, but you know what they say about hope springing etc.; and so each spring finds me pouring excitedly through seed catalogues. At least at that point in the season nothing has gone wrong yet!
